*NFPA “Learn Not To Burn” Program:

*911 Training: With the use of a phone simulator we teach children how to properly call the 911 system. We also teach children the dangers and consequences of abusing the 911 system

*Fire Extinguisher Use and Safety: In this class we mention the differences of extinguishers, the extinguisher ratings ( how they differ) recognition of when to use an extinguisher or when to get out safely to call 911.

*Fire and Injury Prevention for Older Citizens: This program is geared toward the older population of the community where we go over injury prevention, safety in the home education and fire prevention.

*Smoke-House Simulator: With the assistance of Biddeford Fire Department's smoke-house trailer, we use “hands on” training in how to evacuate a home safely. Practice kitchen safety, calling 911 and practice fire and smoke awareness. This is a children based program.

*Fire Awareness: We teach children and adults how to spot fire hazards in the home and workplace. Once the hazards are detected, what to do about them and how they could result in a fire.
